Mazatlan Mexico

This is the view from our balcony. We stayed at the lovely El Cid- El Moro. All buildings in MX are constructed completly of stone, marble and granite. No wood here!!The golf cart looking vehicles are know as Pulmoneas which are what they look like, Golf Carts, but with real motors and are the major source of transportation for tourists. Their name mean Lung sickness. Back in the day when they were invented they gave people lung sickness such as Pnemonia as the cart is not enclosed and they were driven in harsh weather conditions. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. In front of the hotel views parts of the city where it's mostly hotels and condos.

The back side of our hotel pictures the beautiful ocean and an island called Deer Island which is where mazatlan gets it's name from meaning Land of the Deer.
